Raster cover below print-quality DPI
Cover · C-DPI
Definition
The cover raster resolution is below ~300 DPI at print size, or DPI metadata is missing, so print output may look soft or pixelated.
Why
- Web-resolution JPG/PNG (72–150 DPI) used as a print wrap.
- Large canvas with too few pixels for the physical inch size.
- PNG/JPG without reliable DPI metadata after export.
- Upscaled thumbnail mistaken for a print master.
Impact
Often a warning on KDP; still review before upload.
